iphone 4 preorder confirmation email?

This morning I woke up very early to pre-order the iphone 4 (USA). The site kept crashing and locking up. I must of gotten the “ooops” error 50 times and had to keep retrying. Sometimes the site would go down completely when I was almost done.
FINALLY – it gave me a message that my order was confirmed (but no confirmation number) and that a confirmation email would be sent soon.
Did anyone get their confirmation email yet? I am concerned to know if my pre-order actually processed or if I should keep trying. They really should have given a confirmation number on the site, and then sent the email. Without any confirmation number I am lost . . . . because the site kept crashing it is possible that my order failed.
Has anyone in the USA received a confirmation email for iphone 4 being sent to store?
Should I try to order again ?
I had the same problem. Turns out when I signed in with an older Apple ID that was linked to an email address that I no longer have. When ordering I chose the option to have it delivered for pickup at my local Apple Store. Concerned, I called the store this afternoon explaining the situation. The attendant was actually able to look on the reservation list and CONFIRM that I was on it. If you had your reservation sent to an Apple Store I suggest you do the same. Best of Luck.
