Question about iPhone iOS 4 software update?
If you buy a 3GS, not the new iphone 4, you still get the software update. when does the update happen and how does it update..? When you buy the phone, do you buy it with the upgrade already on it, or do you sync it through iTunes or something…?
If you buy the 3GS, I believe you will have to update to OS4 on your own. You definitely get the update for free. If you sync it with iTunes and get it all set up, it should prompt you to update. I think the update is available for download on June 21st, but I could be wrong.
