apple iphone refurb
Is my iPhone replacement new or refurbished?
I got my iPhone replaced at the apple store and I asked if they were going to replace it with a brand new one or a refurbished one. He said that it was brand new however he did not get the phone from the original package but from the plain white box like refurb models. Is it new like he said or did he lie.
He probably lied. I have an iPod touch and there was no seal integrity so it got dust under the screen. They replaced it with a “new” one whose battery was useless (less than an hour on a full charge). So I exchanged it again a week later with one that the screen is dying (getting burned out pixels vertical, horizontal and diagonally). Obviously they are refurbished, or as one put it, “reconditioned”. They say it is their policy to replace (new) items with refurbished and not new. I don’t know of any other store that would exchange an item with a refurbished one. They flat out refuse to exchange my iPod for a new one. I am currently trying to resolve this issue but it’s hard to speak to someone who will actually ‘listen’. All I’m asking for is a functioning iPod. How hard is that?
